Kitchen Refacing

You can save a lot of time and money and still have a brand new beautiful kitchen without purchasing expensive new cabinets. Most kitchen cabinets are in good condition, just old looking and outdated. Our refacing system removes old door and drawer fronts, countertops, and sinks and replaces them with our new system. Choose your style from our tasteful selections of contemporary, classic and more.

YES! We also build Islands, Pantries, Desks & Shelves ...

Does your kitchen need a facelift?  If so, consider replacing your cabinet doors and refacing your kitchen cabinets. Kitchen cabinet refacing is a popular alternative to full-scale home kitchen remodeling. It costs considerably less than installing new kitchen cabinets.  Chances are that you and your family spend a lot of time every day in your kitchen. Next time you entertain friends or family, you may also notice that guests often tend to gravitate towards the kitchen.  So, shouldn't it look it's best?  It's a fact that the doors and drawer fronts of your kitchen cabinets are probably worn out more than the rest of the cabinets. It seems pretty obvious when you consider that you open and close them many times throughout the day. The great thing about this is that you can upgrade your kitchen cabinets quickly, easily and affordably by simply refacing your kitchen cabinets.

We've been refacing kitchen's for over 5 years! We'll show you 5 methods to beautify your kitchen, including free estimates and photos. We also provide cabinet doors, matching veneers and all the supplies you'll need to finish your home improvement project. We have hundreds of satisfied customers!

Interior Design Advice and Consultation

Matching of colors to your current furnishings or room decor. Advice on how to achieve a desired effect for a room from making it look more open and spacious to giving it a closer more intimate feel. Recommendation on the type of paint or finish to use based on its durability, look, and maintenance characteristics. We have painted hundreds of homes and we know what works well and what doesn't. For example some paints are much easier to wash and maintain than others which is important in households with pets and children.

Coates Painting & Decorating guarantees the following when we paint or otherwise refinish your interior:

Proper protection and covering of your floors, moldings, windows, furniture, and any other surfaces that are not to be painted We will remove and put back electrical socket/switch plates, ceiling fan/lamp covers, thermostats, and any other wall or ceiling devices necessary.

 Commercial Painting
Commercial and industrial painters apply paint, stain, varnish and other finishes to buildings and other structures. They choose the right paint or finish for the surface to be covered, taking into account customers' wishes, durability, ease of handling and method of application. They first prepare the surfaces to be covered so the paint will adhere properly. This may require removing the old coat by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning or water and abrasive blasting. Painters also wash walls and trim to remove dirt and grease, fill nail holes and cracks, sandpaper rough spots and brush off dust. On new surfaces, they apply a primer or sealer to prepare them for the finish coat. Painters also mix paints and match colors, relying on knowledge of paint composition and color harmony.

   Faux Finishes
Sand Washing
Sand is applied to the paint to give the finish a subtle, textured look of stone.

Sponging
A sea sponge is used to apply or remove a topcoat of color. Using the sponge to blot or stipple the paint creates variations in color and dimensions.

Ragging
A water dampened rag is used to apply or remove a topcoat of color from the wall to create a lacy, elegant look.

Color Washing
A blend of three different colors using a white or neutral color for the base coat, a mid-range color  for the second coat with a deep-toned topcoat creates an illusion of texture.

Frottage
A base coat and top coat of paint, along with a plastic drop cloth, rags, cheesecloth and brushes, are used to create the warm, aged look of antique leather.

Dragging
Brush, roller and rage are used to create the look of textured fabric

Venetian Plaster
Produces a three-dimensional surface that resembles marble or polished stone
 Power Washing
We put water under pressure up to 3,000 psi and temperatures up to 200 degrees or steam. We use only biodegradable detergents that are environmentally friendly and can clean dirt away in seconds without damaging the surface. We clean surfaces such as: Entryways, sidewalks, driveways, stairways, loading docks, signs, awnings, wood decks, brick, stone, marble, wood, and aluminum siding, statues, and fire-damaged surfaces.

Our unique cleaning process will remove the dirt, grime, mold, mildew and oxidation that gather on all outside surfaces and will restore and rejuvenate your premises. You will be truly amazed at how effective our cleaning processes and equipment will improve the appearance of your home or commercial properties therefore providing a cleaner and healthier living and working environment.

There are five ways to a beautiful new kitchen:

Simply Replace Your Door With New Ones

The first and easiest way is to simply replace your existing door and drawer fronts without doing anything at all to the boxes. You don't even have to have an exact match. Take a close look at your cabinets now. You'll see that you have areas that are both lighter and darker than each other. A light to medium oak door will work just fine in almost every case.  A slight contrast can add interest.

The Euro Look

Invoke a warm, modern look by installing the very popular almond or white euro style door with continuous oak rail pulls and hidden hinges on your existing boxes.  (Example: Almond euro doors on your existing oak or maple cabinets. Almond foreground, oak background.)

The White Kitchen

Give your kitchen a bright, cheerful, contemporary look. Remove the doors and drawers fronts and paint the boxes white inside and out.  White doors and drawer fronts with beautiful new brass handles and hinges completes the look! This is a very popular method. This kitchen can look either contemporary or country.

Do a complete refacing job!

The fourth way is to veneer your old boxes with your choice of self-adhesive wood grain or color to match or contrast your new doors. This method costs a little more and takes longer because it includes laminating or veneering the boxes, but the results are well worth the effort.

Your Own Look!

The fifth way is to order a solid core MDF door with no finish and paint them and your boxes any color you choose. MDF core doors are perfect for painting because they have no seams or joints that can cause problems later by expanding or shrinking.  With this method your imagination is your only limit!
